Oh I don't know then I didn't mean to come across mean I am same as you and from same country been though the same *censored word*.. We can't count our trade cert and red seal is not worth much. Get an Lmia if you can and do cec route don't do fsw do you have one year experience ?

That's funny...Never heard that it means nothing before.

I have a couple years experience here.

Oh yes sure there is loads of groups on fb that says that and trying to make them accept our trades :)

Well, here it's something wrong....my husband is in same situation....before send our application we ask how we can get an ECA for a mechanic diploma...they said if is vocational diploma they can not asses ....so now my husband has red seal as a mechanic and we send this red seal+his diploma from his country, because they ask for (+translated in english) +approval letter to indicated how he get the read seal here in Canada ,so if you will try to get ECA for electrician diploma they will say they can not do it.... :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\,i hope to be ok because if is not i don't know what we can do... ??? ??? ??? ???
We are under CEC+ LMIA but i don't see any difference ...

We are under CEC+ LMIA but i don't think this is matter...

If your husband has LIMA, you should have plenty of points.

not to many...around 900 but this is not important....the think is maybe you can try to send your approval letter i think this is = whit Eca ...this is my guess

Hi guys,

I got an email to say that my application was refused because of incomplete/missing ECA. However as I wrote exams here in Canada and submitted my certification of qualification obtained here in Canada I assumed i don't need an ECA. Am I wrong? If I submit a case inquiry and for some reason I get rejected again, do I forfeit the the chance to request a refund?

Has anyone on here sat exams in Canada and got certified in Canada submitted with success?

Cheers...

I just read on another topic somebody else application was cancelled for same reason and because our situation is similar i'm wondering if we will get same ....need some advise from people with more experience....so i went back in my husband ITA and there is:

1- Skill Transferability- Education-13 points..That means he claim and he get points for foreign education?(here he put 1 year vocational diploma)
2-Skill Transferability-Certificate of Qualification-25 points( this is his Red Seal)
Because if he get this 13 points for foreign education we did't send ECA for this, and that means the application will be cancelled. But i will have a bigger problem because here in Canada is no any organization who do ECA for trade.....So....any opinions? My husband apply under CEC + LMIA but i don't know if this is important...

Your husband has an LMIA? If there is a discrepancy in your husbands application then just recreate a new profile and correct the issue(s) before submitting it.
You have 600 points with the LMIA?

Yes he has LMIA and he get 600 points but i also notice in his ITA he get 13 points for skill transferability education and he does't have ECA because as you know nobody do Eca for trades...Of course we don't care about this 13 points but as he get this for foreign education i'm wondering if this is no just a reason for rejection...

If I understand well you got rejection because of missing ECA and you also have an Red Seal in trade ....so we are in similar position... ::)

Your spouse won't be refused on points. They have 600 additional points. Even if they lose all other points, these 600 alone will be higher than draw cutoff and that would be enough.

OHH,so i just want to make sure I understand well:If i claim and get by mistake some points and they will say i no supposed to get this points and will cut off if I still have enough points the application will not be refused just because i get this extra points, right?
In my case my husband has 825 points and let's say they will cut off 13 points what he get for foreign education and 25 points what he get for Canadian certificate of qualification... he will still have 787 points,on this point his application will not be refused...?
