I forgot to share my timeline...sorry.

This is my time line:

Alberta PNP : First weeks Nov, 2011
Applied for PR to Buffalo : Nov, 30, 2011
AOR, Medicals request : Apr 2, 2012 (Don't know when transferred to ottawa exactlly)
Medicals done : Apr 10, 2012 (sent the medical on Apr 20)
RPRF and Passport requested: Sep 18, 2012

My ECAS status:

We received your application for permanent residence on December 7, 2011.
We started processing your application on July 13, 2012.
Medical results have been received.

Good luck guys. Now is your time for PPR.

No, I am a Hong Kong citizen currently on a PGWP. I am not sure why some of you haven't got PPR yet, but compared to some 2012 applicants, my case was really at a mediocre speed. But CIC finished right at the 10 month mark which was estimated in my AOR.

Another thing is I have been living in Canada since I was 20, and am a single applicant, so there is really not much for them to check even they wanted to. That's why it's faster than some other Nov applicants...maybe? But I am sure y'all are almost there, Oct the latest you will here the good news.

Thanks again for this forum, I will keep updating with the finalizing procedures.

If you are a citizen of a country that is required to obtain a visa to visit Canada, you are required to submit your original passport and the original passport of any accompanying family member. If you are a citizen from a country that is exempted to obtain a visa to visit Canada under Regulation 190 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, you are only required to send a copy of your passport and of the passport of any accompanying family member.



To find out if you are visa-exempt or not under Regulation 190, consult this CIC webpage.

This is what it says. As per the link, I only need a copy of passport. My ppr is from Ottawa requesting me to send it to Detroit. Also, I need to submit two photos and the information regarding my height and eye color.

It can either be sent to Detroit or Windsor. But the returning envelop has to be from Windsor.

It is same as mine.
I also check CIC website and I need to submit a copy of passport only.
So, You think we can send just copy of first page (showing persnal info.) on the passport?

I am gonna send the front, the info page, and some pages showing the entry stamps. Doesn't hurt to send more i guess.

I also got my PPR yesterday. They have asked me to send my passport to Detroit. I mailed everything together this morning and it should reach Windsor on 20th.

Medical: March Last week
PPR Oct 18th.

I am very confident that rest of Nov Applicants should receive PPRs shortly.
