I am a Canadian citizen that recently got married in Macedonia, in November I sent a application to Mississauga to sponsor my wife for a visa, to become a permanent resident. My application has been sent to Vienna for further processing. My question is I have made the decision to stay with my wife in Macedonia for the period it takes her to get a visa, on the application it has my Canadian address as my permanent residents but I also placed a statement letter stating that I will be staying with her in Macedonia for the period it takes her to get her visa, will this slow down the process of my case since I am with her together in Macedonia? I have hared some people say that it will take longer to get a visa if you are together with your spouse, is this true? Please someone help me with my question.

It does not take longer per se, but you have to satisfy to the gov't that you will you returning to Canada after she gets her PR approved.
