Application forwarded to VO in New Delhi

We received an email informing that our application has been forwarded to the nearest Visa Office in New Delhi from Case Processing Centre, Mississauga.
The earlier email mentioned that our application would get forwarded to the nearest VO once the documents were completed and Schedule A was submitted.
Could anyone please tell me what would be the next step? Is my application nearing to final decision? Or would there be more to go?
I am in dilemma as to whether to make the payment to my child's school for next term or not. I would save the amount for flight tickets if my application is almost at the end.
Hope someone gives me the clues. Thank you !

No, your application is not almost at the end. The bulk of the application processing is done at the VO. Being transferred to New Delhi you should expect your processing time (from date received at Mississauga) to likely be 10+ months

I just read many stories here and got information on time frame of NDVO. I will now keep patience and wait.
