Application for PR with Canada visa application in process

Hi all,

I moved to Canada in 2015 on a closed work permit. The WP was expiring in Jan 2017 so I got it renewed before expiry. The Canada work visa (multiple entry) was also expiring at the same time. I applied for visa extension once I got new WP. The visa application is currently with CIC and will take another 1 month to get processed.

I want to know, is it safe to make an application for express entry right now? Or should I wait for visa to get approved first?

there is nothing wrong with creating an EE profile in your case .

EE profile can be created anytime irrespective of your status.

I am eligible and have a good score (well above 500). I will most likely get an ITA as soon as I submit my profile. Just wanted to check if my visa application will get jeopardised.

Nope don't worry just go ahead. TRV has nothing to do with EE profile.
