Application for Open Work permit while close work permit extn in process

Dear forum members,

This is onbehalf of one of my friend

he is on a close work permit and his wife is on dependent/visitor permit. some time back she applied for open work permit and got that too. now he has applied for extn of his current work permit. his company says they will only extend his work permit and they will process for his wife's dependent permit. And accordingly he was forced to do the same. so at present his close work permit application is in process and his wifes dependent permit.

his Question is ---Can his wife apply for open work permit extn in parallel. can it be approved once his gets approved.

please provide your advise.

You need to clarify your post, it doesn't make any sense.

Did you mean, "they will NOT process his wife's permit?"

so at present his close work permit application is in process and his wifes dependent permit.

You have not provided information about how long she has before her permit expires, but yes, she can submit her extension application, along with details of his application.
