Hello all,
This is my first post and I am sure this question has been asked a million times over. I am looking for good suggestions regarding important information to add in a cover letter for my application. I am afraid of making it too long and or not making it long enough. I'd love to hear what everyone else has done. ;D

We didn't include a cover letter. We used the document checklist as the "cover letter" for our application to show that our application was complete.

I did the same as Scylla.

Sounds easy enough, thanks everyone!

Cover letters are a good idea if your application has any red flags (past refused applications for visas, marriage complexities, age differences, any other weak points in general.) You can address anything that you might feel makes your application less than squeaky clean. A good cover letter humanizes an otherwise point checking process for the officer(s) attached to your file.

I'm doing a cover letter (or novel) because I know they will have many questions (aka red flags) about the relationship. Although it is genuine.
