Nomination.....
N/A
Hi All,

Today, I received the very heartbreaking news that my application (ITA - 19th Oct; AOR - 5th Dec) was cancelled. All because I had impulsively and thoughtlessly indicated Quebec as a province of interest. I played around with whether I should pick Ontario and maybe picked it many times. At the last moment, I just picked Quebec thoughtlessly, not expecting that it mattered. My organization has an affiliated office in Montreal and I'm around Francophones constantly (work for a French company and speak broken French), so I just picked it - even though I have family in Southern Ontario and Toronto makes more sense. In any case, I spent so long checking and rechecking all other aspects of my application that this seemed unimportant.

Anyway, now I am wondering if I just should pick myself up and reapply as quickly as possible or consider appealing - since it was not a stated intention, just a random interest in the application. Please advise. I am very disappointed because it seems like robots read our applications...not human beings.

Also, how do I make a new Express Entry Profile, using my old information?

Many thanks for your help. I am glad to have this forum on this sad day.

Thanks for your input, but you're not right about this. My cancellation letter clearly states that they will maintain my records for 60 days and that I can use them to create a new profile.

That doesn't mean you can import those records.

You have to create a new one. "If you still want to come to Canada as a skilled immigrant, you must submit a new Express Entry profile through your MyCIC account. "

Actually, he's right. The cancellation letter says so but there is no way to retrieve the informations. We had to do it a couple months ago after rejection, you just have to do it from scratch, submit a new express entry profile and wait for ITA...
