Good Morning Ladies & Gentlemen,

How long it could take to Sydney office to process my application before AOR is issued? It has been more than 1.5 months since Sydney office received my application but no answer yet (also credit card is not charged). Should I start worrying seeing other people getting AOR in less than a month.
Now I need to note that this is my second CEC application. The first one was rejected due to not sufficient employer reference letter. Could it be a reason for delay? Do they need to perform some additional checks?

Second that. Try to logging in to ecas. AORs sometimes get lost in spam filters or due to misspelled emailed
addresses. If you can login, you're all good.

Thanks for the link. I checked timings there and also here and this is the reason I'm asking. My application has reached Sydney at the end of January and I got nothing yet. CC also is not charged. Everyone else who sent application in January already received AOR.

Hi,

CIC fees has already been debited to my credit card last week, however the status on their webiste still says Appliation received. I am confused what does that mean. Shouldn't the status change?

Dont worry. It simply mean you application has been received at CPC-Ottawa. Nothing to worry about. 8)

No, the status won't change. The next update on ECAS status will be when CIC receives the results of your medical
examination after sending you the medical request, and that's like months away.

Actually next status is In Process. Then it's meds received

If CIC decide to send my application back, will they send notification email before? Is it possible that Canada Post lost my application?

AWESOME link! Thank you!

I'm surprised to see that people have their applications assessed at other places besides Sydney, Nova Scotia. I thought because the CIC instructs on their webpage to send all applications to Sydney that all application were processed there too. Does anyone know why is that?

All CEC applications are being processed at CPC-Ottawa, there's no exceptions :)
The different offices you see, are offices people put in the IMM0008 form, but it doesn't matter which office
you choose for a CEC application, the application will processed in Ottawa.

Hi Guys,

I'm really worried now. It has been over 2 months since my application has been received in Sydney (according to postal tracking) and still no AOR, no Credit Card draft, no eACS notes and no reply from Sydney Office to my inquire I sent 2 weeks ago. What should I do. Should I sent a new application?

Please help!
