Finally got PR! Came in on WP for a fellowship. Got Aberta EE PNP 1 year in. NOC 31100.
Congratulations would warn others that a fellowship is not typically a path to work in Canada as an MD. The fact that you appear to be a consultant from the UK is what made the transition to working in Canada as an MD possible.

No it wasn't. Though people have done that method, which is much harder. I have completed UK IM/Cardiology/subsubspec training. The Canadian RC allowed me to do the Royal College exams, that, plus the LMCC give me independent licenses.

Many are under the false impression that fellowship is a pathway to licensing in Canada so important to clarify.

Agreed. Fellowship may get you an institutional license if they like you and you have a strong research profile. But if you are exam-eligible then worth doing the exams.
