Tough one, CIC describes a certified translator as: "A member in good standing of a provincial or territorial organization of translators and interpreters in Canada." However, it is known that CIC has accepted translations coming from other sources (US certified translators and consulates).

I found a certified translator in Mexico City so i'll be using his services.

Cheers ;)

Can you please share his/her contact information? I've also found another one, but not sure which to pick

http://www.vsitraducciones.com/ is the one that I found and has made translations for PR applications.

I e-mailed him and he was quick to reply. I haven't received a quote from him as I'm still gathering my documents.

Thanks again!

One question regarding translation... Are you planning to translate your passport too? Although the Mexican passport is printed in three languages (Spanish, English, French), I noticed there are some data that is in Spanish only (i.e., the nationality is written as "MEXICANA", and not "Mexican" nor "Mexicaine").

What do you think?
