Applicants based on Colombo VO

Hi Wow,

I did go to the CHC Colombo about 2 months back. When inquired, they said my file is with the visa officer and they don't have anymore information. They also said that they our unable to give a time line for Medical Req. I've made a case specific inquiry with no response from them (over 1 month ago) Finally i decided to order CAIPS. Hopefully that will have some information as to where my case is at the moment.

Any advice is much appreciated.

I think you better check again from CHC-Colombo. I think till you get your medicals better to check at least every month as there can be postal delays too. (which I had)

I think i'll take your advice and check again. Thanks for sharing your case details with us. That sure did give me hope of getting MR this year. Until that I thought only the new fast-track applications (post-June applicants) were be processed. CHC-Colombo FSW quota is only 500 for this year.

Will keep you posted if there are any new updates or developments in my case. Did you get a automated confirmation for the online inquiry you made? I remember getting the confirmation on my first inquiry. However as I didn't get any acknowledgement for the last one, I followed it up by sending a fax copy as well. Anyway, I guess i'll wait for next week and follow it up with a visit to the VO. Hopefully will have CAIPS notes by then.

I went to CHC in Colombo today to make an inquiry as it has been 4 months after doing my medicals. Then the lady at the counter told me that my case is finalized and asked didn't I get a call from them. Also advised to submit my passport. Luckily I got the passport with me and I submitted it.
Then she asked me to come in the evening to collect it.

The only advice I can give for those who are waiting for medicals and PP request, please check with CHC though you went with an agent. I went with an agent but after submitting the second set of document, they didn't contact my agent for anything. Wired though but that is the reality :-X

is that OK if i call them,? instead of my agent.

another thing is i am not able to see my status on ECASE, my agent told me that ,this is because of my long surname.
i am really pissed off,,,,,,about my agent...
what should i do,,call them myself or wait?

I can understand your pain. I had same sort of issues with my agents. (waste of our money) You cannot call them, they don’t provide the information over the phone. You can to go to the CHC in Colombo and the status by giving your file number. As far as I know inquiry time starts around 11.30a.m. for one hour only.

Hi guys!!! I guess we are not many from Colombo VO!!! But so far nobody got any news :-( I think as they do not have many application in their office they just move everything very slow ;-((( I can see in this forum that some other CHC's sending some info and updating the ecases but for us same waiting story....I feel very bad.....Good luck to all of us!!!

Hey Await!!! How are you? I just want to share with you that I sent email to Colombo and got reply:

"Please be advised that your file is with the officer to review for the next steps in processing."
I am not sure about which step are they talking but at least this time they reply within 1 day. I hope for the best!!!

My address disappeared sometime back and re-appeared a few weeks after. Also I checked my e-cas now and the address is still there. Great that you got some type of reply.... I got the same answer when I visited the VO a few months ago. Anyway, was it a case specific inquiry or the general inquiry you made? I'm keeping my fingers crossed as, in a few weeks I should have my CAIPS notes. Will let you know the status on it. Hope things start moving and all of us get our medicals soon.
