Hi marvik2011 and tharakah

I got my CAIPS. Everything is in order. PSDEC=1 and the next BF'D is set for SELDEC. Which basically means that the point assessment is successful and there and now it goes to selection to see whether an interview is required or not. What I want to mention is all my case specific inquires and fax queries are all documented and shows on CAIPS. Also the replies sent by VO is also stated. So in my opinion it may be wise to limit you queries as much as possible. Anyway hope all of us get the visas soon.. All the best
Cheers!

I received my CAIPS notes recently. Same as yours except that Next BF'D is 02-06-2011 which has already passed by 4 months. Any body know what that mean?

Hi tharakah,

BFD means the next day that they will review your file. In My CAIPS also the date had passed. My guess is they take time to update CAIPS, hence BFD's are passed when we receive them. Was your BFD date set for SELDEC ?

According to the newly published processing times Colombo CHC case completion time has gone up to 19 moths. This is for applications received between November 28, 2008 and June 25, 2010. As for the new time frame I have to wait 3months more. However the time stipulated is sure to change in the next update... Good Luck everybody!!!

Hay await!!!
Sorry I was away for sometime. And today when I check new update I was little shocked. It looks like never ending waiting process :o....And we have to wait 7 more months as of now, but after 3 months they will increase time again and again :o Loosing my hope every day.
But there is a good news from my side too, VO sent email to us and requested a copy of my husband's passport again. At least he/she opened our file recently. And address is missing at this moment from ecase.
Keep in touch.
And good luck to all!!
Cheers.
Marvik

I have been in the process for 20 months now. It's looks like it will increase again. Any body has any idea about the caseload relating to Colombo vo?

I wish to inform you that I found the answer the question regarding the caseload in Colombo VO in data.gc.ca site.

It contains several very important details about immigration data.

I am going to summarize what is relevant to Colombo VO

Hi tharakah

Very useful information.... Gives us a some insight to how case load is handled. Many thanks for this. What will be your prediction regarding the time frame from SELDEC to Final decision?

Only thing I know sure is the 460 cases awaiting SELDEC of Pre C50 case load will get delayed and 464 awaiting FINDEC will get processed faster. Apart from 203 awaiting eligibility all others numbering 411 are "In-Process" and waiting in the queue. If we are optimistic 464 should ideally processed in this year. That leave 411 as the priority group for next year. Out of that 118 MI-2 and will get processed faster. That leaves 293 of us as the next priority group. I hope by the end of third quarter some decision should have been made.

Interesting info... Yes agreed.. all who are awaiting FINDEC are processed faster..., or at least that's what I've been noticed in Colombo CHC. Since the data is as for July 1st, I really hope the 464 would get processed this year. So 293 (MI1) 2nd or 3rd quarter seems very possible.

According to CAIPS my PSDEC=1 was May 2010. Next BF'D was for SELDEC which was in end of May. I received my CAIPS end of August and as my BF'D has already passed, not sure of the current status.

Anyways thanks again for all the info Tharakah, Appreciate it. All the best
Cheers

Mine was also similar. My PSDEC was in April 2010 and next BFD was June 2011. I got my CAIPS November. This means we belong to the 293 group which they are not too concerned at the moment.
