i applied with 2 different NOCs..
my work experience is as follows ....
1 yr continues work ex paid full time(with 1 noc)
3 months and 11 months (IN 2 PARTS) with other 2nd noc which is in 29 occupation list
my question is my total work ex will be counted as 2+? or just 1?

Need to have least 1 years of paid working experience( past 10 years) from any of 29 demanded occupation list in order to be eligible to apply
You can get points for all experience in occupations that fall in Skill Level O, A or B (past 10 years)

Others please comment

Warm wishes & regards,

you will get 2+ years exp benefit bro...

No worries....

Total experience would be counted as 2+ and not 1yr .....it does not matter if your experience is in parts :)

Hi Bro,

The experience will only be counted for the NOC you are applying for. So it would be either for NOC 1 or NOC 2, Although you can specifiy 2 different NOC's 1 as primary and 2 as secondary. But only one of those will be considered which ever is more relevant. So the Points for Work experience will only be considered for the one that is taken into final consideration.

so accordingly your experience for consideration will be only be 1 year.

If your thought is more from academic interest to understand, fine. If you are trying to bank on points for eligibility, I assume, Jassi's logic stands right for you to plan your score.

not true........since he has applied for NOCs that are in the current 29 eligible occupations, any of his recent skilled work exp would count(only in the last 10 yrs).

But CIC do ask for preference if u have specified 2 NOCs, since they need to tally it against the total of 500 applications per NOC :)

As per OP 6B:"Applications from skilled workers with evidence of at least one year of continuous full-time (or
equivalent part-time) paid work experience in the last ten years under one or more of the
National Occupation Classification (NOC) codes specified in the MI up to a maximum of
10,000 new, complete applications per year with no more than 500 applications of this
maximum in any one NOC category"

So his exp woud be counted as 2+ and not 1yr.....Hope this clarifies!

A small question for all of you:

"Applicants pay CAD $550 fee payable to Receiver General of Canada at the time the application is made to the CIO. We call it processing fee, but what is the exact term used for this fee called?"

Right answer would get a +1 from my end. Im not testing ur knowledge, its just for fun purpose.... :)

If I have understood correctly :
1. You have given 1st preference to NOC 3222(dental therapist) and provided continuous 1 yr full time paid experience and cap was not full.
2. You have given 2nd preference to NOC 3113(dentist) and cap was full with total 14 months exp in parts.

If the above two points are correct, then ur total exp counted would be 2 yrs and 2 months. I hope this helps!
