Dear friends,

Just a quick question! I've been asked to provide CPC-O with some docs (CV and list of publications). They've asked to mail the docs to CPC-O:

Please submit the requested documents/fees to the following address:

Attention: Program Assistant ........ – CPC-O

Case Processing Center - Ottawa

219 Laurier Avenue West

7th Floor, Section B

Ottawa, Ontario K1A 1L1

Im wondering if I can simply just email the docs/receipt of RPRF or not? They've not mentioned anything regarding emailing the docs.

Thanks very much in advance for your help!

What is your timeline ?

any cc? since in January they didn't receive any application, I was expecting at least early Dec applicants to be charged.

Hi ojohn22,

I have seen the regular FSW applicants filing their application before Dec 11 were charged. I do not know why they are waiting this much long for charging FSW phd applicants.

They are only asking for RCMP checks. If they wanted the PCC from your home country, they would have mentioned the actual name of the document to obtain from your country and the name of your country exactly as they did with me.

Dear pepe84

Thank you for your response
One last point that i want to make clear
I understood from CPC's email that they need an RCMP criminal record check
My question was that if they need police certificate from back home as well (i have already submitted it with the original application but was just wondering if they need a new one). I am mentioning this because you'll find at the end of the e-mail a paragraph talking about how to obtain police certificates which is a totally different thing from RCMP criminal checks
Thank you

I would send original documents only and save scanned copies just in case.

Hey,

I was asked for the same documents. I sent all by email. and after 2 weeks sent an email to be sure that they have received the documents. The emailed me back said yes.

No friend, no worries. My previous TRV was expired and I did not have USA visa, you just go to the US side and ask them to send you back to Canada. Also, it is not required to send passport with either a valid TRV or your valid Study permit on it to CPC Ottawa.

Hope you get PPR soon!

VIva2014,

No worries my friend, yours will come shortly. When the files arrive at CPC Ottawa, they are not organized by received date. I was in your shoes friend. I remember our friend darkknight1 who applied 2 weeks after me and got RPRF, medicals and PPR before me, LOL. So no worries, you should be in the queue for RPRF and MR and you will receive them shortly, I am sure of this.

Answering your question about updating spouse work experience, please don't do that. They will only consider all work experience before your application submission date.

Thank you so much Pepe for your message and the time you spent to check my question which was for a long time before. The reason that I wanted to update my spouse status was not because of receiving points, but it was according to PER email. In PER email, it says "if your employment status has been changed, please inform the VO". But, I am not sure what they mean by "your employment status". If it refers to me only, then there is no need to update but if it refers to all members of applications, then I should inform them. I should also add this point that PER email was sent to me and it had only my name at the beginning of the email. Does it mean that "your employment status" only refers to me and not my spouse?

CIC has released the minimum score accepted for the first round of express entry and the total number of invitations issued on Jan 31. The minimum score was 886, and they only issued 779 invitations. I find the score quite high for us PhD students :-(

OMG. most of my friends got a core around 400. It means that without job offer and PNP nomination, you have a low chance to get invitation letter.
