It happened to some of us before. Case by case is different. Sometimes, one officer accepts a letter, while another officer does not accept the same letter. It happened for me on 2012 as well.
By the way this is my third application as well. So don't worry. Hopefully this time you will get file number.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Dark Diamond. Have you heard from CIC since you applied? How long did it take?
Regards!

As you see from my profile my file number was issued on Oct 24 and I was asked form medical on Nov 7th. Good luck with your application.

Since I completed my medical one month ago I don't know why they don't update my CAS

Be patient. There are many cases like you. They may update it sooner or later. But they have definately received it.

I think you will be the next one and very soon!

Very silent day in this forum. Any news?
Any early September applicants got CC charged?

Nope, it was lost! They will refund me $300! By they I mean Canada Post

I hope so :D

Pepe, what happened to your parcel? was it delivered?

Sorry to hear that Pepe. It is awkward. Such a bad job for Canada post.

Terrible service ever! They said there is a chance the documents were delivered but they were not scanned. So they called the mail room at CPC Ottawa and no one answered. Finally they gave up and asked me how much I wanted for these documents and I said $300. They will mail a cheque to my home address. Hopefully the cheque won't be lost as well :(

I would like to advise everyone to purchase insurance before sending documents via Canada Post. It will cost around 15 to 20 more bucks but it's better rather than having passports lost.

I only bought $150 insurance as it was the cost of my PCC, but since they asked me how much I wanted, I intentionally doubled the amount. You can buy up to $1000 insurance when sending passports.

Ok. Thanks for the update. I hope your new PCC comes soon.

Sorry for that. But it was good that you applied for the second PPC. Also, you got $300 which is good :)

You could even have asked for $600 and bought a PS4 or Xbox1 for yourself :P

LOL, I wanted to do that but they said anything beyond 300 must be justified by a receipt. I have no receipts for PCC :(

I sent the RPRF receipt by email.
Do I need to send the hard copy too?
