Hello everyone,

So my wife has been collecting all the documents needed for me to sponsor her. As her country is the Kyrgyz Republic and is a former Soviet Union country, a few of the documents will be specific to the Soviet Union. Just wanted advice about anything particular to watch out for.

1. Birth certificate and translated to English
2. National ID and translated to English
3. Diploma of university and translated to English.
4. Workbook of employment and translated to English.

I'll be adding her degree which she got from studying in Canada and also another degree from Pakistan. Is there a need for reference letters from employers even though she worked for just a few months? Also, is there a need for primary school certificates?

I hear applications to Moscow take some time. Any tips for faster processing? In terms of translations or documents that are additional and may help?

Thanks in advance.

I believe the checklist still asks for reference letters for any employers not in the labour book.

Also, Moscow does not handle Family Class applications anymore. They are processed in Warsaw, which is fairly quick. Most are done in under a year.

Thanks for the response. Does she need letters for employers in other countries - Pakistan or even Canada? She has been a consultant for a few organizations.
