Appendix A Help

My wife just received an email asking for us to complete Appendix A and submit it. She is from Japan, so a passport was not requested.

I have two questions.
1) My wife is with me here in Canada while we wait out the visa stuff (she's well within her 'visitor visa' time allowance), does it matter if we send the Appendix A from Canada? Or would that raise some eyebrows? Would we be better to have her mom print it out and send it from Japan?

2) In this thread http://bit.ly/17ltNbh somebody mentioned that they completed the form, scanned it and sent it by email. Is that still an option? Can anybody confirm this is a valid way to submit Appendix A

Hello v-globe, in the e-mail you received did the VO specify an original document? If not, then you should be fine to send the soft copy electronically and if you do then question #1 will be moot. The VO will also have the chance to reply to your e-mail if they want it sent hard copy so if it was me, I would scan away!! Blessings.

If you can't scan it, it shouldn't matter where it is sent from, as you are allowed to be in Canada with an Outland app, just as long as you are in Canada legally. She's got a visitor's visa, so sounds like everything is fine!

Does anybody happen to know how fast things move after Appendix A is submitted successfully? I mean, are we almost at the end of our journey or is there still much more to go?

When did you apply and has your ecas changed to "in process" yet? You can go into your forum profile and update the info. that shows on the left side of people's posts. If others can see yours they can generally provide more detailed answers. Give it a try!

I got the Appendix A form from Manila back in August. I emailed the VO who sent it to me and he said a scanned copy was fine. Hope that helps.
