I am in the process of putting my spousal sponsorship package together and came across #16 on Appendix A that states that the the principal applicant must provide 9 recent photos taken within the last 6 months and these must be professionally done. Can someone clarify for me whether they ve provided 9 different professional immigration photos taken in the span of 6 months or 1 set of immigration photos that contain 9 of the same look? It just seems weird to me that my husband has to go take these professional photographs 9 times.

Also, Appendix A also indicated that I need to provide a police clearance or check for every member of the family. Does that mean only his immediate family or his extended family too? In our case, my husband is the only applicant. Our daughter is Canadian so it doesn't apply to her. My husband's parents live with us and their names are on his family registry. My husband also has an older brother and older sister whose names are not on my husband's family registry. Do I have to include all of their police clearance letters too?

The photos should all be identical. You don't go to the photographer 9 times, you get 9 copies of the same photo.

For immigration purposes, your family is you, your spouse, and any children you may have. Only your husband needs a police clearance.
