Appeal rejection :(((

I just want to share my story with you guys ((

So, I applied for PR under H&C, the application was rejected and then my lawyer appealed it, the review for the appeal was granted, but the application was rejected after 6 months, in October last year exactly (( my lawyer was not informed about the rejection and I just found out about it today with my meeting with the imm officer ((

The imm officer did not inform to my lawyer about the rejection (((

I told my lawyer about it and he said to me that he will overturn that rejection, I have to meet him next week and sign some documents ((

It seems like for immigration it does not matter if someone commits a horrible crime against you and he is found guilty about it, it does not matter for them that it took over 3 years to take the crime against you to trial and to convict the individual who harm you, for imm I am worse like him. ((

I moved to Canada with nothing and I might leave the country worse (( just pray for me, I feel like a failure ((

First of all I want to say that I am sorry to hear that you have been a victim of abuse and that I’m happy that the person is in jail. What is your immigration history in Canada? What was your status in Canada when you arrived and throughout your stay? Do you have family in Canada or in your home country? What were the reasons for rejection for both the H&C applications? Have you been working throughout your time in Canada? Have you had a WP throughout the whole time?

If I knew imm was going to treat me this way even though an abuser is in prison thanks to my testimony, I would not have reported him, I wasted around 3 years of my life dealing with the crime against me and imm.

He will be release after completing 2/3 of his sentencing!!! Because he is Canadian and he has right! but hey!! Immigrants will be treated like if we have committed such a horrible crime for trying to improve our life and get a better future!!

Did you finish your studies? if not how long did you study in Canada before stopping? Do you have family in Canada or is your support system primarily abroad? If you didn’t study you would end up in Canada without status. Did you apply for TRP (To try and get a WP).How long have you spent in Canada in total. What have you been doing to support yourself since leaving school? What was the reason for denial?

I did not finish my studies, no support back home or here, I applied for the TRP but it was rejected, I do not know the reasons why the appeal was rejected, I will meet up with my lawyer on Monday to overturn that decision.
