hi , my applicn for federal skilled been rejected ..the reason they mentioned is they reached max cap ...can i appeal now for another cap or need to apply fresh again for the same please help

No - you can't appeal.

If you want to apply again, you'll have to wait until the cap is reset in the summer and send in your application again (assuming your NOC is still on the list).

thanks for your reply...but can i still apply for another category where the cap is not reached for its max

Yes - you can apply under a different category where the cap has not reached its max.

yeah try CEC, read instuctions and see if you qualify.

So let me get this straight - CIC now has its own maximum number of applications per year, just like the way US does?

This isn't anything new. For the Federal Skilled Worker category CIC has had annual caps for some time now. This year CIC is accepting 500 applications for each NOC on the list of 29 accepted NOCs. Once the cap was reached, your application will only be accepted if you have a job offer in Canada.

ok..finally the noc for each category would be the same 500 applicants r any increase r decrease in nums...coz in 2010 it was 1000 appclnz/category

I'm not sure I understand your question.

In 2010 the cap for each NOC was 1000. In 2011 this was lowered to 500. This applies to every single NOC on the list.
