Hi Everyone,

I'm a June 2013 applicant and I have received my AOR and MR as well. However, I have not received my Biodata/RPRF and my E-CAS status has not changed and it is still "Application Received" while for many others this is not the case. Actually for some the status is "Decision Made" already.

Has anyone who applied before June 2013 experienced this?

Please share your experiences.

Thanks.

Yes , I have same issue , MR 1 February MD 5 February , status still file received on 31 may 2013. Nothing else , I m worried now >:(

There's nothing unusual. ECAS doesn't always update to reflect latest status and there are still applicants from July 2012 with pending status after medicals.

If you are worried order GCMS.

Hey Zigzag

I'm in the exact situation as you! My ECAS is still "application received on the 10th June 2013". I received my medical request on 11th February and I'm scheduled to do it tomorrow.

Upon researching, I found that some people don't immediately receive the RPRF Request and I think this is because they would still be conducting the security/criminality checks for those people. That's the only thing which makes sense. I'm a Pakistani national so in my opinion, they might be doing extra security checks for me lol

I recently applied for the TRV visa online and they took 3 months to approve me when the website said the processing time was 7 days at the time. Obviously, they took 3 months because of the security/criminality checks so it looks like the same thing is happening to me again :( This is SO frustrating...

I hope we all get it soon! Good luck to you and singh7k

Did you receive RPRF/Bio data request?

I've seen a combination of approaches from the VOs in sending MRs and RPRFs. Sometimes the VO will "pass" the eligibility of an applicant and send the MR and RPRF. Other times, the applicant could be "recommended passed", and the VO may send the MR, RPRF, both, or neither. In case the RPRF is not received at this stage, it will be sent when the file is reviewed and passed by another VO. The application status typically changes to In Process after the eligibility is set to passed.

This has nothing to do with security, which only starts after you have been found eligible. In my case, I received the MR in December, but my ECAS status remained App Received until February, when it changed to In Process and I received a request for RPRF. My GCMS notes indicated I was recommended passed in December, and then the RPRF email in Feb said I was found eligible. So it took 2 months from the MR to the RPRF, which may not be typical.

what takes so long between RPRF and PPR ???? :(

Usually security checks are the longest. CIC has no control over them as they are conducted by CSIS.

hmmm.... I wonder why it takes so much time for someone from the same country while another one gets within few days..... weird....
