The BGC refers to criminality and security. This is why the BGC status changes twice during the processing of the application. It takes an average of 110 days for security screening, which usually is the last step after eligibility is passed.

If I may ask please, so based on this new IRCC tracker, it shows our eligibility and medicals are passed. Background check are in progress which started on 1st Sep 2022. Considering average time is 110 days, but for us it's been almost 5 months now. Is this a matter of concern? How long this wait can go ?

Iam aware the GCMS notes will reveal more details, but my lawyer is claiming they are taking time and the ones they applied through ATIP in Mar22 are getting processed now.

Also one more question, does eligibility pass means, all our application, pof and relevant documents have been approved ?

It is showing “In Progress” too and then the agent told me the same thing.

I had my PPR yesterday! I was at CPC Ottawa, it was sooo quick! I can't believe it.

Dear All,
I am in-land CEC candidate, applied my PR through a lawyer along with my spouse and dependent son. We submitted medical for all three of us upfront. Received AOR on 26th Sep 2022. We received Biometric request for all three of us which we completed on 11th Nov 2022. My wife and I received our approval letter on 8th Feb 2023 asking us to confirm emails for PR Confirmation. My question is , while my wife and I got two approval letters, I didnt receive anything about my son. The approval letter states to fill in relevant details like UCI , Latest Canada entering date etc for all my dependents. Do children dont get approval letters ?

I used the new application tracker and it said:
eligibility: completed
background check: not started!!!!!!

my wife:
eligibility and background: not started!!!

is eligibility reviewed only for the main applicant or also for dependants?
and when it said "not started" does it mean "in progress" ??

I'm in the same boat as well -- received an ADR just like you did (except while mine was marriage proof), and in the new tracker my progress (with spouse) is the same as yours. I'm a bit confused about why we might get an ADR when the new tracker says Eligibility completed for me, but hey I guess it's promising that at least we are getting some updates so someone is taking a look at our case.

Did you ask why they sent you a medical request? So do you still need to redo? Or they have passed it?

Hey buddy! Did you receive anything? Looks like we are stuck with the wrong pvo Edmonton. A lot of guys are getting their ppr from ottawa who submitted applications after us. Also, did you receive your GCMS notes? I ordered mine on 7th January and still have not received it.

For me, it's showing updated 14th Feb and before today, it was showing 9th Feb.. the last visible action that I can see on my application is on 1st Feb.. so I assume that it's based on individual application.. unless you tell me that you're also seeing the same date?!
