Medical passed-26/04/2016
Request letter for Spouse Schedule A-26/04/2016 and submitted on same day.
BG in process-21/07/2016
PPR-03/08/2016 (3 months and 10 days-102 days from AOR).

Hi All, Can anyone please let me know what is the current trend of return of passport from NDVO? It's been 2 weeks since i submitted.

So guys, now there are about 10 of us here waiting for the golden email. I believe that everybody here is stuck on the last stage and it is really hard to predict when it's gonna be cleared for further final decision. However, do you have any idea of any reason causing such delays in BGC coming from your personal history? ::)

My is simple, BG IP since 4the May, received procedure
Fairness letter on 28th May regarding my spouse- his departure order turned into deportation order after withdrawing his refugee claim in 2012, so certificate of departure and updated schedule A was requested
Responded on June 21th with all doc, same day CIC requested to submit ARC application for spouse directly through link in my CIC profile
ARC application package uploaded 28th June
On July 4th, CIC message request to submit ARC to local VO but upload proof of submission
July 12th, proof of submission (to Beijing VO) of ARC uploaded
July 15th, Spouse ARC granted, this means inadmissibility for my PR application is changed to admissible
July 25th, CIC profile status changed to Updated but nothing visible changed
July 26th, ghost email
July 28th, called CIC, agent told me it looks I'm still in the background check stage as in progress
Waiting.........


I guess because I have an unusual case, the ghost mail might be triggered because I am finally adimisible to continue PR application process but I don't know if the security check/background check stage starts before the ARC request or after, so this is where holds me up. Someone mentioned in the post I followed for ARC under family sponsorship says security/background check should started before ARC but again, it's a different category. Based on what I have been reading, if CIC request someone to apply ARC ( both family sponsorship or PNP) it only a matter of time to reach the finish line of PPR (0-1month).

But again, I am freaking out when the call centre agent said my file is still BG IP after the ghost email, on the other hand I hope this means someone is reviewing my file rather than let it sitting there & collecting dust.

The more I'm thinking about it, the more I feel like what makes me so special for them to approve my case, I am self doubting a lot and I cannot control the negativity
 
Well, thanks for sharing. I guess my case is delayed because of my law enforcement background as well, however no additional document was ever requested from me.

I just called CIC again, the agent was able to pull up my file and based on what he was telling me:

Everything looks fine but because of the additional documents requested in the past two months, my process was put on hold until July 15, the day my husband's ARC granted so I'm admissible to continue PR application.

Right now what holding me up is my Security Check is in process - not sure how long it will take, anyone can help me?


But he assured me my file look fine just have wait until it's my time. At least this comfort my nerve a bit, so waiting game is still continuing
