Hopefully we get some PPRs today...

I think that the posibilitty of Canada post going to strike is the main reason why they didn't sent Ppr yet.
If they go to strike, cic wil probably send an announcement on what other ways to send the passports.
Probably after tomorrow if they dont go to strike, ppr rain will come. Lets hope for the best.

Good thinking! I guess you're right about that. Since the Canada Post started to threaten the strike PPRs for inlanders had a pause.
Hope they find an agreement soon and we receive our golden tickets.

Canada post gave a 72 hour notice. They will go on strike on Friday.

Is there a case when BG is "In Progress" and Application still can be rejected. I have doubts on my application as they asked me to submit Marriage Certificate which i don't have and submitted all the related documents of my spouse. My BG changed to "In Progress" after 3 days of submitting proofs but my Review of Eligibility is still "In Progress".

Yes, I think it is a reason. However, if they cannot send PPRs to inlanders, why they don't send PPRs to outlanders?... Now is a great time for it hey CIC, we are waiting! and it is killing us!

They asked me additional proof of relationship even though i had submitted my marriage certificate.
what all have u submitted in order to prove ur relationship ?

Spouse name added on my Passport
Life Insurance policy issued by Govt. of India citing my spouse as nominee
Birth Certificate: of my son
Lease agreement
Sworn in affidavit provided by both of us in front of commissioner of oaths Ontario
Photographs of actual marriage ceremony
Invitation Card
All Tax filings T-1 General and admissions to CRA (CCB) and CIC(WP)
Insurance
Marriage Certificate application with SDM Delhi
Tickets for all of us to fly to India to get this process done

i think this is sufficient proof for your relationship. you should be fine.

There is an explanation where they state they need reference number e.g E000.... So that they can reach exactly your pr application

This morning at 730am PST I received an email saying my application has been updated. When I logged in, I saw that the background check changed from "In Progress" to "Not needed at this time".
There is no other email or anything from them. I was hoping that this update was the PPR.. but I guess not. I have a bad feeling about this.. Anyone else gone thru this?

RPRF on Apr 26th
BG Chk went in Progress on Jun 21
BG Check went back to "Not needed at this time" on July 5

It sure is quicker than the previous 14 months plus that it used to take.

Of course it's quicker. Do you know anyone else who received their PR in 6 months or less through the old system?

Every single person I know who got their PRs through the old system waited a lot longer. In some cases, it was years.
