Hmmm... Things are not moving for me. Last update was for 17th Feb. Does anyone know if FSW inland BG will change its status or not.

For some people it does, for some it doesn't change at all!
It depends on the officer working on your app.
We are probably with the slow officer! :-\
 
I recently got my my PR using the express entry route.

I had applied in August'2015(last week) and got the invitation to Apply under FSW in Sept '2015. I had 459 points.

The timeline (approx)

Received Invitation to Apply : Sept '2015
Submission of Express entry application : 1st Nov'2015 (first week)
Acknowledgment : 2nd Nov'2015
Medical : Passed : 6th Nov
Background Check and Eligibility check : In Progress :6th Nov
>> No update till march>>
March 15 '2016 : Ghost update : No message or update could be seen
March 19'2016 : Request for Passport
April 13 : Got Confirmation of P.R along with landing procedures.



No Consultants used , Applied on my own. Single applicant.(FSW category)

I was recently asked for another employment letter and about a week after I submitted that my BG check was changed to "In Progress". So I guess once they are satisfied that all the general parts of your application are in order they then move forward to the next stage which is the BG check. What's actually in a BG check I'm not sure. Some people have told me it's travel history, others have said it's the criminality part. Others have said it's when they start checking with former employers... In my situation I was asked early on for a Sched A with a specific request regarding dates I went to Italy back in 2002 (outside of the last 10 years..) so I guess they checked my travel history already.

I would say your BG will change in the next 10 working days (assuming all the other parts of your application are in order) and then you will have to wait around 4 more weeks for your PPR. That's if you have done all the other things up front such as paid your fee. However, my friend did FSW Inland and got his AOR in mid December and received his decision in mid April 'without' a change in his background check. He had a unique case however in that he was living in Quebec and applying for Ontario. They asked him to resign his job immediately and move to Ontario within 30 days and provide proof of this or they would refuse his application. Therefore I think they didn't update his BG ever as it never became necessary. He decided to stay in Quebec and use the Quebec system subsequently...

Atleast u had a movement last month...I don't have any movement in my application except a ghost mail in the end of April!! :'(

I think most of them come in batches. In the last few months, pnps and outland applicants were getting pprs. Now its turned back to CEC since may. Next could be FSW. A few lucky ones get it before time. Besides, lots get pprs soon after Bckground check goes in progress. Mine has been in progress since a week now. Creates anxiety. :-X

I dunno when its going to end!!!
I ordered GCMS notes on 04-29!! No signs of it either!!! :-[
