After 159 Days my BG went in PROGRESS...

Hey everyone,

I checked my application today and it showed "Updated". After almost two long months since my background check change to "In Progress", I hope it's some good news coming my way :)
I hope everyone gets PPR soon.

I'm FSW Outland, AOR Jan 9th (close to the 6 month mark now).

Hi SimonG14,

I am also FSW Outland applicant, with AOR of Jan19.

It's been 6 days since BGC went in progress, but no PPR so far. I truly hope this won't grow into 2 months like in your case :///

Now, hoping for Friday to bring us good news....

Congrats. Is it still updated or submitted now? Mine changed back from updated to submitted once i clicked on "check updates and messages"

Once you check it goes back to Submitted..
Keep checking your MYCIC regularly for any update

I guess it took 2 months because CIC requested additional documents (Common Law Official Declaration)

Just checked my profile. BG status went from not started to not needed at this time. Sigh. I hoped it would go in progress :(

Anyone received PPR when their last recent update was not needed at this time?

It had fluctuated like yours for me for a Day and was back to Not Needed....

I am not aware of applicants getting PPR with that status

June 27 - Received COPR request - Primary Office NewDelhi
June 27 - Reached Canada On Work permit

Can I send the passport to Ottawa instead now ? Please advise I am confused.
