Following the logic, it could mean that your criminality (e.g. PCC) is passed, but security is still not started.

Lets see how it goes. Yesterday when I logged into mycic it said the application is updated but I couldn't see anything different.

Spoke to soon. It changed to In Progress this morning

AOR jan 7th.FSW Inland..Online portal: BG Check - 'Not started'
Got GCMS yesterday...Eligibility is 'Recommended pass'. Criminality/Security - 'Not Started'..FBI Clearance CSE'd on 02-26-16.

Guys, have found a useful interpretation of GCMS notes on forum, just will leave it here http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/gcms-notes-well-explained-has-never-before-until-now-t390292.0.html

Feb 1, BG not needed
Jan 19th BG Not needed

GCMS-Security not started. REST passed

This is a very useful thread, even for those with AOR later than Jan 2016.
My GCMS notes showed everything met except security. But unfortunately my BG stuck in not needed since April 20

Current Status --> BG Check Not Needed
did you order your gcms notes?

So after exactly 5 months my BG has changed to 'in progress'. No email , just logged in and seen it updated. It will be very interesting to see how long it takes between now and PPR (hopefully).

Seems like they are processing in batches. I have read on this forum that a PPR can follow in just a few hours but it is more likely to be several weeks.

I have heard that too (about batches). Till now there is no way to know how much a BG will stay in progress.
By delayed mail I was meaning the email telling you your profile has been updated not the PPR Mail.

has any inlander noticed that their file got transferred to foreign visa offices? I have seen just my case and one from december AOR. If yes can you let me know what are the processing times?
