The Jan AOR thread is getting difficult to follow. I thought it would be a good idea to make a thread for those who submitted AOR in Jan and still have not got BG in progress! This way we can establish if you can get PPR without it changing or changing at the very last minute.

Please no endless pages of 'congrats', let's keep this one info only.

My details are in timeline. Last GCMS notes indicated my eligibility has not even started yet!

AOR Jan 20, 2016. On myCIC, BG shows Not Started.
GCMS received yesterday (generated on June 2). Under "Assessments" (page 2), Eligibility, Security and Criminality are all "Not Started".
Primary Office is Singapore; Secondary Office CPC-Ottawa. Transfer was on Feb 2. My file has not been updated since.

My AOR is 8th of January , BG still not needed at this time. Received a schedule A request some days ago.
GCMS notes generated on the 11/05. Eligibility Recommend Passsed, criminality and medical Passed, security Not Started. At the time of the GCMS notes edition, my file was in CPC Ottawa, no mention about my LVO which should be Paris.

AOR Jan 19th, FSW INland. MY file got transferred to NEW DELHI. Eligibility- MET, Criminality- PASSED, Security- NOT STARTED on GCMS notes. Any idea as to how long security check takes??

Not to discourage you, but NDVO is one of the slowest to process as far i have seen with views from so many. But because you are a Inland candidate, they might just do it a bit faster. Me being in india, and the file is processed in Canada still. :-X
So, its always a wild guess to see if they will do anything faster. The number of applicants from India and China are the highest in Canadian Immigration, so that makes sense why NDVO takes time to process !!!!

For the guys whose the BG still not started, I am 99% sure that it is because criminality has not been passed yet. I have noted from my GCMS notes and many others people here that if the BG remains long period Not Started, then the day when the criminality is passed it switches into "Not needed at this time".
For some people the BG still not needed the whole procedure before it moves to in progress because their R10 and criminality are checked from the first time their file is opened.
Anyway, it is not a big deal even so your BG still not started as long as you provided all needed police certificates because sometimes they go through other sections before opening the criminality section.

Hi, I am 15 Jan AOR, FSW Outland. BG not started. No updates till dates, meds , RPRF paid upfront. Ordered GCMS in Apr, R 10 was clear. Ordered GCMS again on 09 May, same awaited. File with CPC Ottawa as per GCMS of Apr.

Hmm unfortunately my criminality check has been passed so that is probably not the reason. My education and medicals are also passed. It just looks like my file is in a queue. I have ordered my second set of GCMS notes so hopefully there has been some movement.

I hope we are all the group who's BG goes to in progress and a few days later the magical ppr!

Following the logic, it could mean that your criminality (e.g. PCC) is passed, but security is still not started.
