I submitted my RCMP on 2 Jan which they requested on 7 DEC. My BG still in progress... is it normal ? I am CEC outland.

It is normal. I have submitted mine on Dec 13th but BG is showing as IP since Nov 17th.

I submitted mine on Nov 4th, BG shows IP since OCT 20th. No update since then, not even schedule A request. As I answered Yes to two statutory questions.

Don't panic guys. I submitted my application on 1st October. BG is Not needed at this time since 2nd October. No change since 3.5 months.

Are you a PNP-Outland applicant? Are you sure that your BG status did not go from NN >> NS >> NN?

Well, if you see the need, you might want to consider applying for GCMS notes to see the progress on your application. Sometimes, the status on your myCIC account is not a true indicator of what is going on in the background.
