Hi andy108

I have a personal question related to health check up .. can you help me with it.. i see you are very active member.
I am not able to send you message.
Can you please ping me

Also for Medicals itself you can recheck with the Doctor that was uploading your results to the system. If he confirms that all was OK and uploaded, you can relax and wait for next steps in your application.

According eAPR, I have to upload medical exam report for me and my wife. But according to the doctor dependant applicant must have IME number for medical exam and it is not mandatory for main applicant.
How can I get the IME number for dependant applicant?

Again it is not true. whole family needs upfront medicals. Just take your ITA letter with you. That alone is enough for medicals.

Unfortunately that's not the case as the ITA letter does not have a IME number.

Unfortunately this seems to be happening everywhere. It appears that IRCC's new instructions (Dec 15th) about sponsoring family has confused everyone!

Basically the medical centers now understand that they can no longer select EDE-Family for upfront exams. This give you two options:
1) Get a written note from the medical center saying that they can no longer do upfront medicals on dependents, do your medical (as Non-EDE Worker) and upload this note and a LoE explaining the situation when you submit your file for AOR; or
2) Get your medicals done and for your dependents ask for them to be put as Non-EDE WORKERS (for adults) or Visitors (for under 18)

I think (2) is your safest bet and is my recommendation as I've seen people who have gotten their application canceled by IRCC for not doing medicals under the understanding that IRCC would later request then to do so and give them an IME number.

e-AOR on 9th Jan 2017

Both of you should be NON-EDE workers. Even if your spouse is dependant.
EDE-Family is there only for the Family sponsorship.
You will even not able to forward your application without uploading your medical proof in your application.

In my case I'm Worker (EDE) and my wife is Family (Non-EDE). I think quite a few people are like this before the changes they made on the 15th...

The most confusing part is the accompanying children, as you can't put them as WORKERS... That leaves VISITOR and STUDENT (both implies TEMPORARY).

The thing I find most ridiculous is that on the IRCC website about medicals it says that you have two options, upfront or wait to be called, whcih implies you can get an AOR without doing upfront medicals, but everyone that has tried this has had his app cancelled... >:(

How much time does it take for IRCC to finish initial review of eligibility ??

Does initial review include background check and medical check or they just look at application submitted and what document is provided ??
