hi i have a very simple question , if anyone can kindly put some light on this, i submitted my documents on march 1 , 2016, and on 22nd august 2016 , received an email that my file is in second phase of processing and pending for a review by investigation analyst .
Does that mean then sent me Aor or am I yet to receive it. ALSO if I missed it , is it mandatory to keep the aor with me , I just went to my bank twice and they confirmed that my demand draft was cashed out on 25th august 2016. i would really appreciate for your reply and if i can be provided with more information.

If I understand your question right, below is the explanation -

AOR - Acknowledgement of Receipt. This is also your Application#, which is in this format EXXXXXX

You would receive your AOR as soon as you submit your documents online i.e. on your MyCIC account, this is system generated response.

Ok lets put it that way , what does it mean in regards to aor , when oinp sends you email saying application is in second phase and pending for a review by investigator analyst, does that mean AOR sent or still to be send.

You should have received AOR shortly after submitting your application. (AOR = Acknowledgement of receipt)

If you got the above email it just means your file is under review.

Not sure why you would need to keep AOR. It just confirms that CIC has accepted your application .

Please be advised that our records indicate the file referenced is at the second stage of processing, pending review by an Investigator Analyst.

If there is any further information needed for your application, you will be contacted by our officer.

Please note that if you are in Canada, it is your responsibility to remain in legal status throughout the time while your application is being processed by our program.

AOR Feb 8th and still waiting.

On July 14th I got a request from CIC to upload an additional document which I uploaded right away even
though the deadline given was Sep 14th.

Was anybody in the similar situation?

Any updates in your CGMS notes.

I am Feb 04, AOR no change in status

No change after Apr 24th when i received a ghost email.
Note about the same made in my GCMS as well.
