Ah, I wrote the CPC-Ottawa-PR address as the from address on the return envelope

Will it be a problem, the canada post lady said its ok :-[

The return envelope needs to have CPC-Ottawa-PR as the FROM address and Your mailing address as the TO address.

Should be ok I believe. I was told by CanadaPost guy to keep it blank...But filling it wont harm anyways as CIC is 'the sender'

I did. My passport has been delivered on 15th (Monday) noon.

So it took 12 days for you, right?
When was your pp delivered and when was your return tracker activated?

My passport was delivered on Aug 5th, but it took a little bit longer to go back.

CP tracking shows it has been processed in Richmond and it will be delivered tomorrow.

I have sent my passports on 3rd Aug (Wed), reached Ottawa on 5th (Fri). return tracker activated on 11th (Thu) and delivered at my place on 15th (Monday). In total, it took 12 days incl. weekends.

Thanks for the help over the last year. The day I received the email of CoPR, I scanned my entire passport and overnighted the package to Ottawa. Last Thursday I received my landing papers, so the family and I went into WA state for dinner and when I crossed back over into Canada I confirmed my documents. At this point, I should have my PR Card by the third week of Sept.


Also, don't take everything that people say in this forum as gospel. I've been run astray by well meaning people, but they're not always correct. Ask questions, email CSE, Ottawa and if all else fails, call CIC.


Good luck to you all and have a great new life in Canada. I celebrate 6 years living here next week and this is my first time crossing that date mark as a bonified Canadian (resident). Huzzah to immigrants!

Hmm then it's 50-50 chance to get it back by September 2 when I need to catch a ride
