Hi

Does anyone know approximate time to takes to receive the passport back once sent to Ottawa Office. I sent it on Aug 09 and was received on Aug 10. I have a travel arrangements that for sep 5 so kind of scared if my passport will be back.

Just called CIC today to ask about that. My passport was received in Ottawa Aug 5 and my return tracker is not active yet. The lady from the call centre said to wait at least 10 business days and that the call centre doesn't have much info about the passports. They will only see a note on the account with the tracker number once CIC send out the passport.

I got my PPR on August 03, sent my passport on August 03 to (CPC - OTTAWA - PR, P.O. Box 9780, Ottawa Ontario, K1G4B9).
I got an email on Monday august 8, saying the size of my photograph is wrong (apparently I didnt know the rubbish staff at Walmart didnt give me the actual passport photo size), so I need to send the proper passport photo size to them immediately to the address (CPC - OTTAWA PR MAILROOM, 365 Laurier Avenue West, Ottawa Ontario K1A1L1).

I sent them the corrected passport size on Monday August 8, and when I tracked it, it showed delivered on Wednesday August 10.

I have tracked the Canada post return mail, but nothing comes up. How long does it take to get back your passport. I still don't have any update in my CIC account.

Do you think I should call CIC to know what is happening?.

Please advice.

when did you send your passport? I sent mine on the 9th which was received on the 10th. Does mycic account always has to be updated to approved first and then the passport is delivered?

The return tracker will get activated 2-3 business days afetr you MYCIC application is approved and closed.
Tracker generally activates after 3pm EST
