It was meant to keep politics away. In India, people who have power bully others. Just wanted to keep that out from here.

An eye for an eye will make the world blind, if someone is a bully than you don't have to get to their level. Because when you do that their is no difference you both are at fault.

He said he hasn't heard anything on my file but that I wont get one anyway because I am from a visa exempt country. So do I just get my CoPR? My layer is a moron so I don't trust anything he says!!

You are correct on not trusting him, LOL.
Even for people from Visa Exempt countries you will get a ready for visa email. IN which it will ask you to send a copy of that letter, 2 photographs, photocopies of your Passport.

Once you send that, than they will send you CoPR.
