Like, who is on the next floor of your building? which office is next to you?
Who is the boss or owner of company ? how much company is making in a year ?

It looks like they're checking facts. May be they're just making sure the company is real and matches data they can get on the web or from CRA...

How far into the process did they call your employer for verification? Thank you btw you are a god send for answering so many of our inquiries my friend

It is last security check for them.
Last time when I speak with agent (luckily) he told me only one check is pending for them.
I guess employer verification is the which they talking about.
