So did you get any email for request for visa or CIC requesting your passport to be forwarded to any visa office?

I might be wrong but it sounds like you just received a photo request, request to fill in form with your passport details and then it seems your file is approved and closed?

Please enlighten us as this might be the first time I am hearing CIC not requesting passport before issuing COPR.

Yes I just received photo request email so I sent them those.
And then they asked me to fill out form 'appendix b' which consist of full name/gender/passport number/height etc.
So I filled it out the form and then email back to them.
They didn't ask to forward real passport itself. Think it depends on which country of origin you belong, as I searched. I'm from South Korea btw.

I'm fsw inland. Aor feb 3rd. Got photo requesting mail on April 28 and passport requesting mail on May 15.
And checked that my application is approved on CIC status around may 25.

Finally, I got BOWP exactly after 3 months of applying.

My medical status again changed back to "Review In progress" from "Medical Passed", weird!

Regarding your photo request email, can you let us know if that also appears in MyCIC? I'm a bit concerned I currently have not received emails from CIC, but my bg went into in progress 2 weeks ago. So if that photo request comes into MyCIC messages too, then I will be a little more relaxed, as I can just login every day and check.

Hi, just to inform you that status change of 'BG' from 'Not Needed' to 'In Progress' is a good sign. However unlike in the past when applicants would receive PPR a few days after the change, the trend has changed recently. Now it can take anywhere between 4 weeks - 3 months before the PPR email is received by the applicant.

Congratulations to you though, your dream is closer than ever. for me its been over 3 months since any update at all.

Oh dear, really? Do you happen to know if the missing emails would appear in MyCIC? Im hoping ALL communication is duplicated into MyCIC as well as email....
I dont get the emails as my consultant put his office email address on the application, but even he says he has had no emails through. So all I can do is login to MyCIC, but if some emails ONLY come through email, and not MyCIC, then thats a worry...
