My BG has just got a status change to "In Progress". It had earlier moved from "Not Started" to "Not Needed at this time" on 30th Jan.

I know BG moves back and forth, and maybe we can't interpret too much from this. But it happened at 5am Toronto and 3.30pm India so maybe some one from India Visa Office and not Toronto is working on my file.

For some people, they got PPR 7-10 days from BG change to In Progress, right? Just read that it changed for psharma and prernarula in the last 2 days, so maybe Delhi Visa Office is working on Indian applicants.

I had my interview yesterday - i have a few 'unusual' factors in my application that i needed to explain. The VO was very good and professional. Interview lasted about 30 mins yesterday. Then PPR this morning!

Everything i know when this happens is that the local VO is working on your file. As i was clearly told, the local VO makes the final decision. I think when BG goes to in progress it means a positive decision is imminent.

I just got the message on myCIC and it is request to send passport. I guess this is what is called the PPR
