Can any Dec 2015 applicants (AOR) access status in ECAS yet? I'm unable to...means the VO has not yet touch file for processing eligibility?

ECAS has been down for a long time. I think all December applicants can't access it. Please enter your timeline information to the spreadsheet. Best of luck

Guys, my BG check is not needed at this time after medicals passed (PNP/FSW Outland) while for some in exact same category, BG check already in progress immediately after medicals passed.

Anyone got ideas?

Hey One_Topsy, Is your BG "Not Needed at this time" or "Not Started"?

Or did it become "Not Started" and then again became "Not Needed at this time"?

Hasn't moved from Not needed at this time. Never changed

It looks fast. What is your category? Are you PNP.. or are you in Canada applying through CEC?

Or do you have a friend working in CIC as Visa Officer who got your file? ;D ;D

Ok. My BG moved from "Not needed at this time" to "Not started" but my medicals are still "Not needed at this time" although I'm pretty sure my hospital has already uploaded results.

Based on other threads, when someone works on our files, they will change status. And there are only 2 fields where status can change in entire process, just Medicals and BG. Others remain what they are, till PPR. Even for BG, many people report that based on GCMS, their file had already become RFV when BG changed to "In Progress". So, in summary, BG can only become Not Started and In Progress in the entire 6 months period, so there is nothing to really interpret based on these fields, and that explains the rush to file GCMS to get a clue of whats happening. There is another thread that says BG became "Not started" and then back to "Not needed at this time", which is weird?!

I think myCIC needs to have a better status management and display system to keep applicants aware of whats happening.

If you're CEC i think the TL looks normal. IF you're Outlander or PNP...way to go!!!

Yeah, we can apply every month to see what's happening. Which site has better reputation and value for money to get it? visafile.info, gcmsnow.com or do you know any other site?

I heard there is forum user who does it for $5, basically only cost recovery. can we take his help?

Based on recommendations from October and November applicants, you can apply for GCMS notes at least after 2 months from submitting your application. For myself, I prefer 3 months to make sure that officers started working on my application.
