AOR file number stay the same in your second application? PLEASE HELP *worried*

Hi,

I am seeing some help from the senior or anyone who has experience this situation.

I applied previously in MAY 2012 and I was refused on JANUARY 1013 due not meeting education requirements.

I re-applied under the new CEC rule as educational requirements were not needed and only required 1 year work experience.

My question is: Under E-case when i access my information, one set of information says decision made and one says Application received...I can access it under the old file number as well..I haven't gotten the file number for my new application but can access my information using my UCI...

Does my file number stay the same? is that why they din't email me one?

I am confused, any help would be awesome..

file number changes, but UCI stays the same. Since both files are linked to your UCI, if you look up one, you'll see the other.

Does it show the date that the new application was received? If that was just recently added, you should get your AOR very soon. If it is already a month or more, then I'd start searching your spam filters for a wayward email...

Don't worry. It happened to me too and after few days e cas said "application received", the old case was gone from the system.
It just scared heck out of me every time you log in until they remove it from the system.
