Hi,

CIC updated the processing time today, now they working on applications received on March 20, and the processing days increased to 34 days. this means AOR -1 will be received after 34 days whoever applied on March 20th ? , What about the SA & AOR-2? , Generally how long after SA will be sent ?

I am planning to apply May 1st , Should i assume AOR-1 would be 4-June , When AOR-2 & SA apx Date ?

With CIC you can never expect anything. 34 is the average for AOR and SA right now. It is NOT a 100% guaranteed time, people don't get that. Some people get their SA same day as their AOR, at the same time or a couple hours apart. Some get it a week later. My SA was about a week after my AOR and it took 39 days when the estimated time was 29. It takes some people 8 days for AOR and SA, others 85 days. You can never estimate.

As for your Second AOR for the visa office, nobody can tell you that. Nobody can even guess. It 1) depends on which visa office you are going through and 2) if that office even sends out an AOR.

By May when you apply, the times could have gone up or down, we just have no idea.

In the end, don't try estimating when you will get your AOR/SA/AOR2. Just wait, watch the page for updates, and if it goes over the estimated time frame, call the call centre.

You do not always get a AOR. In our case we just got SA and no AOR.

It's pointless to focus on AOR. There is no processing time for AOR, no approximate times, many people never even receive AOR from either office.

The processing time of 34 days refers to sponsor approval.

Exactly this. There is no point trying to calculate when you'll get word from CIC.
