Anyway to rush the application?

I applied for sponsor my wife from dubai. Romania office is working on it.

They told us they are processing it and completing it soon. So thats great.

but we need it for summer so she can come visit here before her final year of university in September.

We also have my best friend of 30 years wedding to attend in August.


What should I do? apply for a visitor visa while we wait for the PR?

In reply to your subject question.. The application for PR will take as long as it takes.. Absolutely no way of rushing it through!

You cannot speed up the application. If you could, everyone would, and you'd be back to square 1.

Surely she has a study permit to cover "her final year of university"?

her final year of university is in DUBAI. not canada. so no need for a study permit.

but she wants to come here august before her final year starts in september.

I guess we will apply for a TRV in july and explain the situation and maybe they will grant her a TRV.
