Hello there,
Any one knows someone that applied the in Canada application(sponsorship ,PR+WP) in the Beginning of august 2011 and got approved for the first stage?
Have a great weekend!

That would be next to impossible, seeing as it takes them 11-12 months currently to assess in-Canada applications and are working on January 21, 2011 applications. It will be July-August 2012 before persons who applied at that time in 2011 start receiving AIP.

I always thought that it is the max time estimation and that they say it "ust in case".

What do they mean in the Email they sent me by saying and i quote:
We received your application to sponsor xxx on August 4, 2011
"We started processing your application on September 22, 2011."
??
started processing?that's why i'm confused :)

No, that is usually the most reliable estimate of the time based on preceding files. By "processing" they probably mean they entered the information on the GCMS system. It doesn't mean they are actually anywhere near giving you AIP. As I said, they are working on applications received Jan 2011 for AIP.

Hii all
i'm in the same situation as my husband applied for me in beginning of Aug 2011 & till now nothing.

Hi,
They say 11 months for first approval so I'm guessing/hoping somewhere in the beginning of July :)
They haven't changed the "working on applications received on...." for two and a half months but updated the page every Thursday so I really cant tell ...

Hi
yes you are right they didn't change the "working on applications received on...." for more than 2 months .. it is very strange but anyway we have to wait till July to see what will happen
did you recieve the medical care card!!!

Medical care card? Never heard of it.
As far as I know I can get medical 2 months after I will get the PR.
Where did you hear about it?

nooo it is wrong
i have the medical care card from 3 months ago,, as you lived in canada more than six months & you are under implied status so it is your right to have medical care ,, check with BC Medical site & call them as you should fill the medical care application.

Ok question,
You said your husband applied for you,
Did he apply for you while you where in Canada and you stayed here since there
If it is true in my case than somebody there made a mistake when I asked him about it,
They told me that I am eligible only after getting the PR.
Besides getting the email confirmation I didn't get anything else from them.Did you?

yes my husband applied for me while we were her in vancouver and i didn't leave it from almost 1 year now...
in the beginning i had a problem that i couldn't check my online status so i called them & they contacted me several times till this problem had solved and after that nothing new.
no one from CIC told us anything about the medical care, till one of my husband' friend told us about it as he did the same for his wife so we applied for it in January 2012 then they sent the medical care card by mail in February 2012.

I got my medical care card after I got my open work permit (after the first approval).

Great news! Thank you very much!
I did read the requirements for this card and I should have done it earlier.
I guess they have a reason to "hide" this fact from us :)
fhj1203,
That's what they told me but as I read about it with the advice of Ematina you were qualified before the first approval...Its a BCAA/CIC conspiracy :)

I lost my status before we applied for sponsorship so I really for the open work permit to have something to show to them..but maybe in your case no need to wait for that..
