I applied FBI clearance at January 17th,they received at Jan 22.Anyone has any idea, how long will take?
I got ITA at third draw.

Anyone summit pr application with valid reason for without FBI clearance (FBI clearance process).
FBI website says 14-16 weeks.any one got before that?

ANY IDEA,THANKS IN ADVANCE.

ready for your mind to be blown. My FBI Clearance took 18 WEEKS!

However I believe you can ask for an extension. They will not process your application without it. And you do not have a good enough excuse as to why your couldn't get it from the FBI. (long wait time does not equal "I do not have to submit one"

Also you can call the FBI and check where in the process they are with your FBI clearance. They took the number down off their website because too many people were calling it. But I saved it from a year ago 304-625-5590. they will only check if it has been 5 weeks otherwise you are wasting your time.

THANKS SOUTHPA.

I HAVE ONE MORE QUESTION.

I used to work cruiselines before.my visa is transit visa c1/d, for crew member.I stayed on board vessel, not in land.
Do i need to summit fbi clearance for this case?

That I am not sure. I assume you were in International waters ?? that is a technical question that someone in a similar situation could answer. I wouldn't want to give you mis information

The logical answer is that if the visa was issued by the US then I would assume FBI clearance would satisfy that. If it was issued by another country, I would think not. But what I am learning is that nothing about these processes is logical, so find out that info for sure before you proceed.

OK THANKS SOUTHPA.

ONCE THEY TOOK MONEY FROM YOUR CREDIT CARD,AFTER THAT HOW LONG WILL TAKE TO RECEIVE THAT FBI CLEARANCE?

THANKS

You need the FBI letter to submit for application to be complete.

For other applicants in a similar situation, CIC has requested it. Definitely get it.

I work on the Cruise as well, and was wondering if I need a FBI clearance, because the ship use to set sail from the States into international waters

It says if you were in states for 6 months or more you need fbi letter for application to be approved.
