Hi

It took me 15 months to finalize my whole process (i applied inland) and same as you i didnt pay the RPRF at the beginning or so, when they sent me the letter for the landing interview the stated on it "IF YOU HAVE NOT PAY YOUR RIGHT OF PERMANENT RESIDENCE FEE BRING IT WITH YOU THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT" when we were at the place getting ready for landing thing we paid it and then went for the landing interview, in my case i have to say, i dont think the fact of not paying RPRF before the interview cost me time, but i guess you never know with CIC they treat every app. WAY different, but what im saying is dont worry, you haven't done nothing wrong.

Wish you good luck.

it can delay anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks if not longer is some instances......the receipt goes to Mississauga and then they forward to your embassy......even if you email your embassy the receipt they have to wait for confirmation from Mississauga that the money has been processed :(

inland sponsorship is different....I believe you don't pay until requested but it is always better to pay up front for outland sponsorships

We waited as well and I wish we hadn't. But I also sent a physical copy to Mississauga, with a cover letter explaining the situation on the day they requested it. So hopefully that will help speed things up a bit. We'll see though.

They are both the same, you can pay up front or wait till requested and if worst case scenario you get refused and you have already paid they send you the RPRF money back.

I just wanted to come back and give an answer to this question since no one really answered it. As I wrote previously, my FI and I waited till it was requested to pay the RPRF. And I just got my COPR today in the mail. So overall it took them 30 days to get it back to me which seems to be the average for my visa office according to the CPP-O website. I did mail CPC-M a copy of the receipt the same day I paid it, so I don't know if that helped or not. But they issued the actual visa to me on March 5 and I got my PPR on February 12. So it didn't take them terribly long to match them up.
