Is there anyone in this forum who have studied for O-levels or IB? I want to know what do you think about the equivalency of these two credentials in Canada for immigration purposes.

To the best of my knowledge this is considered to be the equivalent of finishing high school (secondary school) in Canada. It's not the equivalent of college or university.

Thanks scylla. Do you mean O-levels is considered to be equivalent of finishing high school (secondary school) or IB? Because IB Diploma is done after O-levels. So if O-levels qualification is equivalent to secondary then IB would be post secondary, right?

IB is not the equivalent of completing a post secondary degree or certificate. It's the equivalent of taking a couple of post secondary courses. So for immigration purposes (i.e. points for education) it's no different than completing high school / secondary school.

Great. Thanks. One final question in this regard. Could you please also tell me whether Level I completion of Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) has any post-secondary status for immigration purposes (particularly points calculation in CRS for Express Entry)?

Best.

No - there are certainly no points granted for CFA level 1. Even if you have all three levels completed, you would still get no points. CFA is a designation - not a degree or diploma. So no points.
