I'm in pretty much an identical situation as you. I am also here on the IEC and my permit runs out on the 1st of march. My boyfriend accompanied me and has been living here for the year but not working.

It sounds that your situation is very different from Gary's. Are you trying to apply for PR? If so, under which class? If you leave Canada and try to come back with only a few days left on your permit, there is a slight chance to be denied. How likely? I don't know. If you are denied, CBSA will not consider about your belongings left in the country.

I dunno. I've decided to do at yvr airport when I reenter the country and show then I have a pr app is process and get my partner to show proof of funds.

I'm sure theyll let me stay on a visitors record under these circumstances.

But what are your circumatances? That you've applied for a lmo? Maybe file a paper app and send it. Gives you 120ish days of implied. Plenty of time to sort out the lmo if it works out.
