My point is that there have been many whiners/complainers/naysayers on this forum lately
and they have turned this place into their personal fear factory. So much negative energy that I can hardly
believe I'm visiting the same forum I did couple of years ago. What happened?

What happened is the change in policy by CIC created much confusion, then nontransparent, uncertainty, then fear, and people (including myself) needs to vent out.

But even under anonymity like on internet forums we should be considerate in our words so we don't spread rumors and wrong information.

Well, to their merits, I don't think messing with foreign nationals' hope in coming to Canada is their goal. But I think their goal of EE is to protect jobs for Canadians and attract the best people from outside, and I'd be surprised if they consider the current situation be successful.

All eyes on the election, mate. We just saw the fourth change in Alberta government since it joined Canada, and let's see what the voter will do to Harper's conservative government
