Hi, I am hoping that my in-laws can cross the border with my goods to follow this summer. Is it a problem if I give them the B4 form even though my husband
(sponsor) nor I can be with them? Will they be refused to take the small trailer of goods in because I'm not there? Anyone else tried this?

Have you already landed and become a PR? Did you get your "goods to follow" list stamped at customs?

no, waiting on my passport and visa to return an just putting together the B4

So I called the Canadian Border Agency Services and they said so long as my in-laws have my list of goods to follow stamped and signed (from when I landed) and I write a letter giving them permission to move my goods, they are fine to cross the border. Yay :)

Just a quick question regarding my goods to follw list. I'm planning on having aout 30 books shipped out after I arrive. Do I need to list them all by title or can I just say "books" & the quantity & value?

"Books", quantity and value, not listed individually.

phew thats a relief! I thought maybe the goods to follow list may have needed more detail. Would it all have to arrive in one shipment though or could it arrive in several?
The guidelines for the goods list don;t exactly go into great detail! Unless I'm missing an indepth guide somewhere.
Thanks for the quick response anyway :D

What about kitchen utensils, gadgets, and the like? Listed individually or clumped under 'Kitchen Items'?

IMO If a gadget has a serial number, and is expensive - list it.
