Anyone going through the paris office?

Our spouse sponsorship application is at the Paris Visa office now and has been sitting there for 2 months. We have sent a very full, straight forward, complete file and have paid in advance in full. We have nothing stated on the cic site that anything is happening with our file. I see that other people who sent in their file within days of ours already have see an update saying "IN PROCESS." We have not had any updates since the first step. Is there any one else who is going through the paris office and has "In Process" as well? and could you please share your time line?
Thanks

My husband's application was processed in Paris - took 4 months 28 days to PPR. We didn't get many updates either, I think it said in process for about 2 weeks prior to the PPR. Our application was fairly straightforward too. We had no complaints about the Paris office, hopefully you'll hear something soon!

Thanks for the response. My husband is from Tunisia. We were just curious where your husband was from. Also we were wondering was your husband notified my email for the passport request or by phone? Thanks again and yes hopefully soon we will have some news :)

My husband is from Portugal. I think the European countries get processed a bit faster than the African ones at the Paris office from what I've seen. We got his PPR by email.

Good luck

I am going through the Paris office they received the file in June of 2011 and didn't start processing until the beginning of this month, most applications (80%) in Paris are processed within 8 months but a interview was requested and that went very well. hopefully it continues that way

My God, 11 months you waited and they just started processing your file this month? I dare them to make us wait more than 4 months to see the words "In Process" I know many people only waiting 3-4 months before seeing their file in process and then a month later the office requests their passports for the visa. Were you missing any papers? Did you send tons of proof of your relationship and photos? Did they tell you why they requested an interview? I know I ask a lot of questions, but I am just trying to understand their system as every case is different. How were your husband and you married?

We sent tons of proof the file was huge, no papers were missing. We were married here in Canada not sure why it was requested no they do not tell you why but they do interviews to verify if the cases are truthful but we also submitted additional proof. Every case is different. It states on ecas that it started processing in the beginning of April basically we haven't heard anything from Paris from mid June when they sent the letter of acknowledgement until this month.

Hello
As I see once your file was transferred to the Paris office about 2 months later an agent was working on your file as they requested documents and the second payment. I was told by CIC and other people that if you pay the full amount up front that this will shorten the waiting time by about 2 months. Our file was sent to the Paris Office February 17th/2011 and we have not received any new updates. Our on line status has always said the same that they received my husbands application on January 3rd (the day it went to mississauga) and also it says Medical Results Have Been Received. So on May 17th it will have been there for 3 months. I have sent an email to the Paris Office and I should here back from them within the next few days. They always take 10 days before responding. They need to really hire more people. This is common sense and it seems really unjust to put people's lives on hold. I understand all to much how important it is to make sure they check everything, but the logic and reality we know is that it does not take 8 months or more to do these checks. CIC needs to hire more people so they can be more efficient and stop playing the waiting game for the true couples...life is too short. I will let you all know my status once the paris office emails me back.
